Payment Methods

RECO offers its clients various payment methods either through payments at banks in Roatán and Santos Guardiola, on land as deposits, including through online payments and payments directly at Customer Service offices.

Important Notice: The banking system accepts payments even after expiration date and also if the invoice has a back balance provided that 100% of the same is paid. 

Requirements for New Installations

Residential Service

  • A copy of the property deed (Escritura Pública).
  • A copy of a personal ID.
  • Guarantee or consumption deposit.
  • Small one bedroom house or apartment – Lps. 1,000.00.
  • Medium sized two bedroom home or apartment – Lps. 2,000.00.
  • Large house or apartment of three or more bedrooms – Lps. 3,000.00.
  • Single-phase digital counter purchased at RECO or local hardware store.

Commercial Service

  • A copy of the property deed (Escritura Pública).
  • A copy of a personal ID.
  • A copy of the business constitution and RTN (if account will be registered in the business name).
  • Guarantee or consumption deposit (Starting at Lps. 3,000.00 or determined by the department of distribution using like a base the estimated consumption of the first month.).
  • Single-phase digital counter purchased at RECO or local hardware store.

Important Notice

  • If the person or entity requesting the account is not the owner of the property, the owner must present to RECO offices to sign his authorization, duly authenticated by an attorney.
  • If for involuntary or overwhelming reasons the person cannot assist to the RECO offices; the interested party must present the authorization of the same duly authenticated by a lawyer.
  • RECO is inflexible in these requirements as it protects the interests of property owners against the opening of unauthorized accounts.
